Help Raise Funds For AFC Woodham When You Shop Online: 23/01/12

We have now registered the club on the www.easyfundraising.org.uk website. If you do any internet shopping at all then just go to this site and register making sure you choose AFC Woodham as your chosen cause to raise funds for.

Once registered you can go to virtually all the main shopping sites and shop as per normal.

The difference is that a percentage of what you spend will then be donated to the Football Club. For instance spend £100 at XYZ Ltd and they will pay £2.50 into club funds.

There is also a search engine via the site and everytime you search from there a small amount goes to the club as well.

It is really simple it will just take a couple of minutes to register and then its shopping as per normal from there.

Chairmans Performance of Week Award: 23/01/12

The toughest to date yet with all teams playing well this weekend, but this weeks award goes to the U7 Wanderers after their win against Focus Ferrers. The team had only been assembled this week & after 1 training session played on Sunday and were superb. Well done Scott and the team, just pipping the U9 Wildcats after being the only team to take points off of Beacon Hill after drawing 1-1.

The U11 Warriors continued their fine run with a 4-0 win, the U14B were unlucky not to come away with the points v Meadow youth in a battling game, the U8 Whippets won 5-0 and the Woodpeckers battled out a highly entertaining 1-1 draw with Baddow Spartak.

U11 Wolves v Ravens Youth Match Postponed: 21/01/12

This Sundays U11 Wolves v  Ravens Youth has been postponed due to the home team not having enough players available to play the game.

U7 Wanderers Kick Off This Weekend: 20/01/12

The Club would like to wish our new U7 Wanderers side the very best of luck as they start life as a new league side this Weekend. Game is on Sunday to Focus Ferrers at Collingwood School 1pm Kick off, if you would like to join Scott, Richard and the team compete in their first game.

AFC Woodham Soul Nite 12th May 2012: 19/01/12

AFC Woodham are proud to be organising this years ‘Soul Nite’ at Club Woodham. This event is now in its fourth year and the previous three have all been great occasions that will live long in the memories of those who were there.

This year we are going ‘back to basics’ and it will be a DJ only evening spinning tunes right from the days of Motown and Stax through to today’s Soul standards.

There are only a limited number of tickets and they will be sold on a first come basis so don’t delay your purchase.

Whippets Training Moves to Woodside: 13/01/12

Just reminder that the Whippets will be training at Woodside on Saturdays 9 - 10.15am from Tomorrow, Saturday 14th January 2012.

AFC Woodham Trip Organised to Colchester United: 12/01/12    

AFC Woodham have arranged for all club members the opportunity to watch Colchester United v Preston North End on Saturday 3rd March 2012 at their fantastic Weston Homes Community Stadium.

The Club Will be running coaches for this event and the following ticket prices apply:

Adults £ 21.00

Children U18 £ 10.00

Children U14 £ 4.00

Children U8 £ 1.00

Chris has secured a whole area for AFC Woodham within the ground, so all AFC Woodham followers will be sitting together in our own block within the ground. I am sure you will agree that these prices are very good value. Food and drinks are available at the ground and this will be our 2nd club trip to the stadium after a highly succesful trip last year when our members watched England U19 beat Germany U19 in front of 10,000 fans.
